Vote For Your Favorite Songs - L Bands, Part 1

Hello to my internet friends!  I've got my rock and roll on right now to put me in the mood to do some rock and roll talk.  I decided to split the L bands due in large part to 5 bands having 10 or more hits that deserve recognition.  When you've got Led Zeppelin, Lenny Kravitz, Little River Band, Loverboy and Lynyrd Skynyrd all in the same compilation, it gets long.  So I put Led Zeppelin, Lenny Kravitz, Lifehouse, Linkin Park and Little River Band in todays blog entry.  The next entry will contain hits by Loggins and Messina, Los Lonely Boys, Lou Gramm, Loverboy and Lynyrd Skynyrd.  Thanks to those of you who have been voting and also for giving me some ideas on what bands to use.  I used some that were recommended and some I didn't because they're really not classified as rock bands.  I really like some country songs and rythym and blues songs, but if I give in too much the research will become to extensive and the lists will be too long.  In fact I'm not going to include one of my favorite songs on this entry (God Bless the USA - Lee Greenwood) because its a country artist.  So my own rules are going to sting me this round.  If you guys want to vote for that song in any song by anyone in the L-Li category, feel free to.

Before we get to the list, I'll announce the winners in the J - Je band category.   I asked for 5 votes and by golly there were a clear cut 5 winners.  Whats really neat is they're from 5 different bands.  They are....

  1. The Pretender - Jackson Browne
  2. Fire and Rain - James Taylor
  3. Aqualung - Jethro Tull
  4. Centerfold - J Geils Band
  5. White Rabbitt - Jefferson Airplane

I've done lists longer than what the entire L's would have been but I prefer shorter lists with fewer votes.   Scorekeeping's a bit of a bitch when everyone's voting for 8 songs.   For this entry I'm asking you to vote for up to 5 songs from either this list or write-ins I may have omitted.  I'll take any helpful ideas for M bands.   My current list of M bands is up to 9.

Ok, without further ado, here's my list, vote for up to 5...
